Mid-Level Frontend Developer

Frontend Remote Deadline: Open until 30 October 2025

Job Overview

Most Lab is a boutique digital studio that ships high-impact web products for funded startups and Fortune-200 brands. We are looking for two Mid-Level Frontend Developers who can turn Figma pixels into buttery-smooth, performant, and accessible experiences. You will own entire features—from API handshake to delightful micro-interactions—working in a fully-remote, design-driven team that values clean code and obsessive polish.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain responsive, accessible, and performant web applications with React 19 + Next.js 15 (App Router).
  • Create fluid animations & interactions using Framer-motion, GSAP, and Lottie for scroll, hover, and state changes.
  • Integrate RESTful & GraphQL APIs, handle authentication, caching, optimistic updates, and error boundaries.
  • Design and evolve global state management with Zustand or Redux Toolkit.
  • Translate Figma designs into pixel-perfect UI components using Tailwind CSS.
  • Write unit & integration tests with Vitest, React Testing Library, and Cypress to sustain ≥ 80 % coverage.
  • Optimise Core Web Vitals (LCP < 2.5 s, TTI < 200 ms) through code-splitting, SSR/SSG, and bundle analysis.
  • Collaborate with backend engineers to define API contracts, data shapes, and caching strategies.
  • Participate in weekly design critiques, PR reviews, and sprint planning in Notion + Linear.
  • Mentor junior developers through pair-programming and documented best practices.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years shipping production React applications (TypeScript required).
  • Strong command of modern JavaScript (ES2023), TypeScript, and functional hooks patterns.
  • Proven portfolio showcasing polished animations (Framer-motion / GSAP / Lottie).
  • Experience managing complex state with Zustand, Redux Toolkit, or similar.
  • Proficient in REST & GraphQL consumption (Axios, React Query, SWR, or Apollo).
  • Deep understanding of semantic HTML5, WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards, and SEO fundamentals.
  • Comfortable with Git flow, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Vercel), and automated testing.
  • Experience with Tailwind CSS or Styled-Components and component-driven development in Storybook.
  • Excellent written and verbal English able to communicate complex ideas clearly in a remote setting.
